Falls Creek Falls

1-11-24 - I have some bad news. The former trail head to Falls Creek Falls is now closed and so is the trail which is trail #31 on the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area map. There was a small parking area, but when it filled up, people began parking on private property. I spoke with an official person at the park today and there is no estimate when another parking area and trail will open. Please check the Jones Gap SP web site for updates. For now, I'm taking directions to the old parking area off of the site. You can still access Jones Gap State Park at the main entrance and enjoy all of the other trails it has to offer. Below are a few photos of the waterfall and smaller falls on a side creek so you can see what you are missing because some people think the rules don't apply to them.
