Devil's Bit
Chamaelirium luteum

This is another common wildflower and is sometimes called Fairy Wand. I've seen them blooming in May and early June along shady trails and deep woods near streams. The male plant has a white flower spike that is generally longer than the female's and tends to droop like in the above shot. Upper leaves of the plant are small and narrow. The basal leaves form a rosette.
