False Lily of the Valley
Maianthemum
canadense
This plant is quite a bit smaller than the bluebead and speckled wood lilies. Leaves are 1-3 inches long and are alternate. There are usually 2 on the main stem. Flowers are white and in a cluster at the end of the stem. They have 4 regular parts and are fragrant. Light colored berries that later turn red form on the plant in the fall.
