Great Blue Lobelia
Lobelia siphilitica
This is but 1 of several species of blue lobelia found in the mountains. The plant can be 1-3 feet tall. Leaves are toothed, alternate, and lance shaped. Flowers develop in mid summer through the fall and are irregularly shaped. On this species, the flower tubes are striped. The next 2 photos are a different species, but I'm not sure which one.
