Yellow Mandarin
Disporum lanuginosum
Yellow Mandarin is not very common, but we've spotted plants in 2 different locations - near Douglas Falls and on the trail to Flat Creek Falls. The droopy yellow-green flowers first appear in early spring and can be seen into late spring. They have 6 regular parts. Leaves are alternate, but the last 2 leaves below the flowers are opposite. A red berry appears at the end of the growing season.
