Yellow Star Grass

Yellow Star Grass is a very common plant that begins blooming in late March and can continue blooming throughout the summer. The photo here was taken along the trail to Log Hollow Falls. Flowers are yellow with 6 regular parts and appear below the height of the leaves. Leaves are basal, grass-like, and somewhat hairy.
