On the July 4th '02 trip, Cathy and KT wanted to take us to a couple of falls they had discovered off of Hwy 215, north of the BRP near the Art Loeb Trail. I didn't get a milage, but there's a grass parking area on the left probably less than a mile from the Parkway. We parked here and followed a trail on the same side of the road a short ways until it got to a creek. Then we headed up creek for about 10 minutes. Neither of these falls had names that we've been able to find, but they are really nice and there was no one else around except us. Here's the 1st one - 15 to 20' high...

...and here's the second one which a little farther up creek. Dana named this falls Green Velvet Falls - the algae growing on the rock face under the water flow had a velvety look to it.

Another falls just up 215 is on Bubbling Springs Branch. From the Parkway, go 1.8 miles and pull off on the right next to the guard rail. The falls is visible from the road - this next shot was taken in October '02.
