I have also been to Lower Bearwallow Falls several times now and it's one of my favorites. It's deep in the heart of the park and not very accessible. The 1st shot is from my 1st visit to the waterfall. In the 3rd shot, note the tree that has fallen across the top of the waterfall. On my last visit in early September '04, that tree has now fallen into the waterfall (4th photo). Kinda takes away from the view. A few weeks after that, the hurricane floods came. I was hoping high waters washed the log out of the falls, but I've heard that it hasn't.
