Thanks to Gennie, we took a detour on one of our trips and visited the 60' Looking Glass Falls. Hwy 276 heads northwest out of Brevard directly into the Pisgah National Forest and it's just 5.5 miles until you reach the falls on the right. It's a beautiful drive thru the forest and there's a Ranger Station you can stop at for additional info along the way. I highly suggest picking up a trail map of the area.
You get a view of the falls from the road, but you'll want to pull over and wander down to Looking Glass Creek for a better look. I stopped again on a New Year's week end visit for a winter view (3rd photo).
